Our goal is to continuously minimize the environmental impact that may arise from the products and services we purchase and deliver. We place great importance on being an inclusive and open workplace where everyone – guests and employees alike – feels welcome and safe. We run our business in a stable and long-term manner – since 1987 and for many years to come.

ACTIONS
Some of the concrete actions we are constantly working on to contribute to a better environment include:
  • We aim to reduce the company's energy consumption by choosing energy-efficient options, such as district heating, LED lights, etc.
  • We work to minimize food waste in our restaurant by using as much of the raw ingredients as possible and being mindful of the daily consumption to ensure that as little as possible gets thrown away.
  • We set environmental requirements for our partners and suppliers.
  • We, of course, choose eco-friendly cars as company vehicles and for transportation services.
  • We use as few harmful chemicals as possible and go for environmentally friendly alternatives.
  • When making purchases, we choose environmentally friendly products and services and consolidate orders to minimize deliveries.
  • All staff members have strong competence in environmental matters through environmental training and ongoing work at the department level.
  • We are constantly improving our waste sorting system, especially for packaging, particularly from the restaurant.
  • We compile and evaluate the results of our environmental work annually.

Landvetter Airport Hotel meets the Swedish Environmental Base Requirements Standard (4:2017). The system creates the conditions for continuous improvements and reduced environmental impact.

Commitment to local sports

Engagement in the local community is an important part of our business, which is why we are proud to support Landvetter’s floorball club, Landvetter Wings. With its women’s team in the Allsvenskan league and its vibrant programs for children and youth, they create a sense of community that brings people together across all ages. We look forward to continuing to support their development and success on the field.

Locally produced

In our inner courtyard, the kitchen’s herb garden coexists with beehives. For our chefs, being able to step out the kitchen door and pick fresh herbs and spices for today’s dishes is as good for the soul as it is for our guests’ taste buds. Talk about locally produced!

As humans, we are entirely dependent on bees' pollination to ensure a functioning food supply. The beehives are our small but delightful contribution to biodiversity.

Our support to Min Stora Dag

At Landvetter Airport Hotel, we want to make a difference for those who need it the most. That’s why we support Min Stora Dag, an organization that welcomes children and young people with serious diagnoses. Upon request, we offer an overnight stay, a lovely dinner, and a delicious breakfast buffet, to contribute in the way that we can.
